We work on developing rice and soybean varieties adaptable to Korea’s central northern area, corn, barley and wheat varieties for feed to improve feed self-sufficiency, and their distribution.
  • Develop and disseminate rice varieties to replace foreign varieties
    • Haedeul and Alchanmi has become 100% alternative cultivars to Icheon’s brand rice
  • Develop domestic silage corn varieties and expand its distribution
    • Enhancing self-sufficiency of silage corn seeds by strengthening promotion of domestic varieties(through field demonstrations, workshops, etc.)
  • Develop soybean varieties for fermentation, adapted to Korea’s northern central areas
    • High-yielding and suitable for mechanized harvesting, high-quality soybean variety Ganghan is developed by improving undesirable traits of Daewonkong
  • Expand production of domestic triticale seeds to substitute rye seed imports
    • Expanding the triticale home seed production complex for a base establishment of locally produced and consumed feed
